Research Interests

I am a mathematics professor at the University of Kansas. I received my PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in 1982 and have been at KU since 1984. My research interests lie primarily in the field of commutative algebra, with tangential interests in homological algebra, algebraic geometry and computational algebra. Among the topics I am interested in are the asymptotic theory of ideals and modules, multiplicity theory, Rees algebras of ideals and modules and homological problems in mixed characteristic.
